One of my favorite hikes in the state is Goat Rocks, directly between Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams. Go here for pictures from the last time I hiked it. The first Saturday of August 2006, Tony and his friend Dan and I had a great time doing this 16 mile hike.

Mt. Adams with a field of wild flowers.

We did a detour on our hike that provided many views of Mt. Rainier.

I like shots of colorful flowers with a colorful sky

Why the rocks are called 'goat rocks'

I swam in that lake, not for long though.

The view of Adams from the lake

Some cool hill contrasts in the evening. You can barely make out St. Helens, and can you see the puff of steam it is ejecting?

Look at all of that green
